Our Customer:
 
Our Customer is the NFDC. The NFDC plays a major role in the Indian Government media sector. The NFDC interacts with various film producers/ parties in order to supply the Doordarshan channel with the Movies to be telecasted. The various transactions made to parties and to Doordarshan as well the contracts that are signed are all maintained by NFDC.
 
The Challenge:
 
The process over the years required our client to maintain all records and well-managed Library in course of time. This required that software be designed for our client that maintains records and records all transactions made to Doordarshan and with the concerned parties. This also required an accounts module to be maintained as to how much amount was due to be paid and details of other transactions. Maintaining a Movie Library that was accessible to various employees, the agreements made between Parties and our client, that was accessible to various employees and generating various reports for the top management was the main requirement of our client.
 
The earlier system followed by our client was maintaining all on the paper records which required that they maintain records and files of over 5 lac movies in various languages all around India within paper records. This way not only was the Library management difficult but then Vendor management, tracking of agreements, Security level maintenance, Document management and the Transaction process on the whole was cumbersome.

To make the entire system cost-effective for our client we have used open-source products to develop this software. This way with our Agreement Process management our client could maintain the records of all agreements that they made with their clients/parties. This way they were also able to make contracts online.
 
Our Document Management system enabled the client to administer their contracts and maintain them in a reliable and efficient manner.
Vendor Management was created in the software for each that our client could refer to I case of copying or duplicating the movie offered by any party.
The Library management module consisted maintaining the stock for the library and was developed similar to an Inventory management system.
Security level implementation too was done with respect to each department and each user’s designations and rights offered. This way the top management was allowed access to almost every field and report.
